Our History

CEO Tom Kiser launched Professional Supply, Inc. (PSI) in 1979 with a loan from the Small Business Administration partially collateralized by his wife’s wedding ring.

In 2010, Kiser formed Powerdigm as a vehicle to educate investors about our business model of accountability. An investors’ pool for energy efficiency projects resulted, generating guaranteed energy savings returns.

In 2012, PSI joined Worthington Industries and formed Worthington Energy Innovations. Headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, Worthington Industries is a global company of industry-leading businesses with a manufacturing core competency.

Worthington Industries’ history of taking innovation to scale and our energy efficiency expertise help more companies elevate their energy reduction and resource conservation programs. With more than $100 million in Energy Service Agreements in place, we’re guaranteeing the performance and sustainability of energy systems operating throughout the United States and Canada.

Based in Fremont, Ohio, Worthington Energy Innovations has 30 employees and a team of over 200 contract engineers working on projects across the globe. Our energy projects have helped create many new U.S. manufacturing and engineering jobs.
